Read Across America is March 2 - 6

Read Across America Week is March 2-6!


Read Across America week is happening at Las Juntas March 2 - 6!  This year's theme is "Oh, The Places You'll Go When You Read a Book". Family reading night and used book sale will be Wednesday, March 4, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the school library.  Join us for an amazing night of reading fun and books galore including an informational presentation on ways to help support your child's reading progress at home!

Dr. Suess inspired spirit days include:

  • Monday, March 2:  Crazy Socks Day - in honor of Fox in Socks
  • Tuesday, March 3: Favorite Hat Day - in honor of The Cat in the Hat
  • Wednesday, March 4: Wacky Wednesday - wacky hair, wacky shoes, wacky outfits
  • Thursday, March 5: Dress as your favorite book character
  • Friday, March 6: School-wide buddy reading

Please donate any used books that you no longer want for our used book sale. The money raised will be used to purchase new books for the school library.

It is important to know that there are no reported cases of Ebola in Contra Costa County, or anywhere in California, and the risk is very low.
