Las Juntas Elementary School CalendarMake Every Day Count!Good Attendance Makes For Good Minds!
Research shows that students who improve their attendance rates improve their academic prospects and chances for graduating. Attendance in the early grades is an important part of creating student readiness skills for later life. So let’s work together as a community – school and business leaders, parents, students, teachers, doctors, neighbors – to get all kids to school – on time, every day.
For more on school readiness, vist - https://attendanceworks.org and reachoutandread.org CA Physical Education Requirement AccountabilityStudents in grades 1-5, at all four elementary schools in the Martinez Unified School District, actively engage in the California requirement of 200 minutes of Physical Education every 10 days. In order to assure compliance with this legal requirement, each site has established “Prep C” protocols for those grade levels that may not reach the 200 minute requirements due to minimum days, teacher prep, and / or assemblies. These established practices of running laps, dance & movement, and cardio-conditioning outside of the PE class are documented and verified by the site administration on a monthly basis. |
